The Missouri Photojournalism Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to Missouri journalism, and to provide an educational venue to showcase visual reporting pioneers and the work of current photojournalists. Established in 2005, the HOF was housed in Washington, Mo., for 10 years before relocating to the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
Inductees are recognized for one or more of the following: outstanding photojournalism achievement, long-term photography for a Missouri publication or other journalism outlet, leadership in education, technical innovations, ethical values and integrity and contributions to community.
Four inductees make up the 2019 class. Bill Battle, Dan White, Jim Curley and William Fambrough were formally inducted October 17th in a ceremony at the Center for Missouri Studies State Historical Society of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Prints by the photographers are on display in the McDougall Gallery in Lee Hills Hall through November 2019.

“DeFelice Decks Darby” Umpire Garth DeFelice knocks down St. Louis Rams running back Kenneth Darby during the 2008 season finale Dec. 22 at the Edward Jones Dome. Darby had been trying to use DeFelice as a shield to avoid a San Francisco 49ers tackler and instead ran into the official, who knocked down Darby. The Rams lost the game 17-16. — If one image could describe the 2008 St. Louis Rams season, this was it. Owner Georgia Frontiere died prior to the start of the season. The Rams went 2-14. The team started 0-5 and finished with nine losses in a row. Head Coach Scott Linehan was fired after four games.
“Colorful Night” Shades of pink and purple in the entertained fans between games Tuesday at Rotary Recreational Complex – Ronsick Field. Washington Post 218 swept Union Post 297 in Junior and Senior games that night.
